Madrid and Paris

Well, I made it. Paris, you´re like, whoa. I stayed with an Amazing guy, Jibè, and Aviv was there two. A us girl whose spend a year in Tokyo, in South America, and now Paris. They were so welcoming and spent a lot of time making me feel happy and at home. I still am adjusting, and I always see travelers in groups which just makes me want someone here to share all this with. If only Brenna or Clinton or Hannah had bailed on the dumb school and come too. Nights are the worst, but as long as I´m up and moving I´m just enjoying it. So I went and saw the catacombs, the eiffel tower of course, Notre Dame, the big church that is the talled place in Paris, Pigalle )Moulin Rouge!! and a few other places. It was great to be able to come back to his flat and make some dinner and watch Thelma and Louise, trade travel stories, etc. they have had great advenures. I left for Madrid Thursday afternoon, so Aviv and I went to get some coffee and check out Bastille beforeI left, but on our way back, we found out there was an accident stopping the One line on the metro from going. Wonder of wonders, that´s the exact one I needed to take in order to meet the bus that goes to Paris Beauvois airport, where Ryan Air works out of. We also needed it to get back home to where my luggage was. We ended up taking a bus, and getting there after I had wanted to leave, but I just grabbed my stuff and ran down to the metro, to get to Nation and find out if the one was still stopped or if it had started up again. If it wasn´t working, I was going to take a cab, and Aviv wrote down a few key phrases to help me not get completely taken advantage of. Luckily, it was running, and when I got to Porte Maillot I ran out of the station looking for the bus, found the parking lot and the ticket booth, and got on about 2 minutes before we left, on the second to last seat.
Then, my plan was late, and I was worried that Hecotor, my host for Madrid, would give up on me, but I called when I got there and he met me at a metro station about 50 minutes from teh airport. (sorry for the phone use dad, promise I´ll pay up). It was about 1130 when I got to his flat, but for him, and madridites I guess, it was early, so I just took a quick shower and then we were off to El Tigre, a tapas bar popular with tourists and others. He lives in the city center, so its fast to get around, and we stayed out going to a few other bars until about 2. this morning, he showed me around the notable sites in teh city center, we took a few pictures, and had some dinner where I got some excellent spanish food. We also stopped by the bus station so I have my ticket to Seville for tomorrow morning, 8 am, which will take most of the day, but I´ll get in early enough to find a hostel to stay at until Tuesday when I go to my first work away position in La Puebla de Cazalla. I hope that by then the blues have left me, and that I have enough to do out in the country to keep me from plotting to come home instead of be lonely, but I´m sure I´ll be fine. It´s the same as always. I´ll just make extra effort at the hostel to make friends instead of be the lone wolf. Hector is nice, but not the same as staying with the parisian two, and without anyone to meet with in Seville, I´ll be on my own tomorrow morning for a few days. Also, my computer isn´t compatable unless I buy an expensive converter, and even though my camera charger should be fine, it´s the wrong shape to fit in the plug converter. The small details bother me as usual, but it´s not like I really should have brought it anyways, it´s buggin´heavy. I also wish I had a good pack instead of this luggage and a sleeping bag just incase, but ah, next time, I´ll be prepared. enough for now, I´ll rest up for the Madrid night, and perhaps get around to doing this again sometime.
I do, however, think that every things is beautiful and different in enough ways, and I am glad I´m here.
