This time I'm taking on the old country. Thanks to Sam, I'll be doing another independent contract with Evergreen, and plan on staying the 90 days allowed with a regular tourist visa. So, folks, here we go. For the interested parties, here's the stage one plan.
Jan. 25- fly to Paris. (Thanks Renee!)
Jan. 26- arrive.
Jan. 28- fly to Madrid.
Jan. 29- (over night bus to Seville)
Jan. 30- arrive Seville
Jan. 31- bus to La Puebla de Cazalla
and there I will live, happily I hope, with Izzie Delling, her au pair Laura Batty, and the two kids, a few horses, and some land they are currently working on doing.. something.. with. In turn for my assistance, I get room and board, and a neat place in rural southern Spain.
From there, I have plane ticket from Barcelona to Trapani (in Sicily) that leave Feb. 25. So I will probably leave Seville around the 21st, and stay a few days in Barcelona before going to Sicily. From Trapani, I bus it to Sciaccia, where I will live near the shore with Franco and a few others, in the olive groves.
I hope to stay about three weeks there, and then fly to Rome, and spend about 10 days between Rome and Florence, before going south again, to Otranto, and then to Pollino National Park, to a hotel on the mountain where I will cook, clean, and lead student groups around the mountain, with two female teachers.
Back to Paris, and then home around the 30th of April, I believe.
Sounds fun, right?
Have a fun, safe, exciting, beautiful trip Paula!
