Phuket!
Brenna and I, talented girls that we are, ended up at Ton Sai beach, not Ton Sai bay on Koh Phi Phi, so we actually never left the mainland but didn't realize it until today, hahha. probably a good thing, just becuase Koh Phi Phi is really expensive to stay on and get to compared to our happy little rock climbing paradise. Lots of adorable boys to watch scaling cliffs, and talented girls who we kinda envied but weren't silly enough to emulate. (Brenna isn't good with heights.. aha) We did rent a kayak and paddle about, but there has been sporadic rain showers so we didn't go too far. Mostly, the three days we spend went back and forth between swimming, reading, laying on the beach, and laying in hammocks at the resturaunt with amazing tuna melts taking naps. Or playing connect four with the Sea of Love coffee shop man, and chatting with the Belgians who had the bungalow up the road. We played with these little kittens for a long time, but which probably back fired since both of us now have flea bites everywhere (and i mean everwhere) but the bungalow was pretty cute- made of bamboo, and the powers only on from certian evening hours until the morning. all in all, very relaxing. today, we took a boat back to Ao Nang, then a sawthaew to the bus station and bus to phuket, where we found a guesthouse after walking around denying every freaking taxi on the planet. we were not being very polite by teh end of it. but we found a cute place near the old town where the architecture is really neat, different than anything I've seen so far in Thailand. tomorrow, I hope we'll make it out to the beach, adn then we have to take a bus by six in the evening or so overnight to Bangkok for brenna's last night. :( OH! also we saw monkeys. real live wild monkeys jumping around the trees. and we tried slacklining and failed, and watched a fire show on the beach. think thats it.. cool!
