today via brenna

i have definately learned my lesson!! i think they took between 150 and 200 :( i am still really bummed whenever i think about it but i am not ging to let it ruin my trip so i just dont dwell on it too much. but if you could some more money that would be really nice :) i haventused my visa card at all but running low on cash so i am going to withdraw some soon BUT on the upside paula and i had an amazing day today!! last night we came in late but the travel book told us about some really nice guest houses and we went to one and it is sooooo nice. its really big and there is a little grassy courtyard with hamocks and chairs in the middle. our room is only 200 baht which is like 5 dollars each which is sooo weird cuz its so cheap. so this morning we woke up at 8 30 which is way early?! crazy huh?! but then we had coffee and read romance novels in our court yard which is also right on the canal which is really pretty and has boats going by and this huge pretty white mansion house thing across. and then we bought tickets for tomorrow which include an elephant trek, bamboo rafting, seeing the bridge over the river kwai and some caves and hellfire pass and swimmin in waterfalls and the death railway which an all day thing and we are sooooooooooo stoked!!! and luncha t a "good resturant" and an air conditioned bus...high class!!! and after we bought that ticket we rented motorcyles!! but dont freak out they gave us helmets and paula and i both rode on 1 and they are lik moped things so they are not like the motorcycles back home and motorcycles are a lot safer here cuz there are so many and the cars are very nice to them and give them a lot of room. so dont be worried! so after we rented those we drove out to Ewerian waterfall which is like the biggest waterfall in kanchanburi. you would be soooo proud of us because the top of the water fall was 1500 ft high and we hiked all the way up there. it took us like an hour to finish the hike up but it was totally worth it (and it was like straight up with rickety stairs and some times having to climb up rocks and lots of ridges that all are very steep). the water fall also has 7 levels and we went all the way up to the 7th level. i fell really bad twice on this hike but everything is still intact and working so no fear. i was trying to take pictures, wearing flip flops and wearing a back pack and trying to manuever on very slippery rocks so it didnt work out so well all the time and you no how well my balence is.... but we went swimming in the pools at the different level and the fishes nibbled at our feet but it freaked me out so i kind of flipped out when ever they got close to me which was most of the time becasue there were lots of them and all the hikers were laughing at me and talking aobut me in almost every language. so i found a nice little nook on a rock with water running down and watched paula frollick in the water. at one of the levels there were these thai guys who wanted to take their picture with us [thai boys think white girls are like rare things so they always want to take pictures with us] but dont worry they were all like 12 and all they knew was "heyyyyyyyyyy" [in a thai accent] and [what is your name] but most of the time we cant really understand them even when they are speaking english. we then drove home, or i drove home, and did pretty good. motorcyles here drive on the shoulder so cars can pass so i was on the shoulder and i kind of drifted off the road and onto the grass but i stayed callm and brought the bike to a stop so nothing bad happened. but i didnt trust myself after that especially cuz we were getting into the city so more cars so i handed the wheel over to paula. and by the way when i did go of the road i handled it very well, dad owuld have been proud and it was probably due to myt manny dirt bike crashes. so now we are back at our place and are about to go on a hunt for food. we are going to stay another night in kanchanburi, which both of us love, and then tomorrow go on our trek/adventure and then the next morning go see tigers and then head south somewhere.
