First off, it's so much better to be doing something, even if it's just ineptly teaching / getting laughed at by all my students. I had two lessons, for about 45 minutes each today, and while I though they spoke some english, I ended up with the alphabet in both just to get them to talk. Then, we move on to boy and girl. and he, she, you, I. but I don't know how much they already know, or if they do, and just are too shy to say it out loud, or if they actually don't understand. It's pretty ridiculous. It was pretty great to get to talk to Non a bit, the math teacher who kinda looks out for me, because her english is about the best. However, the new english teacher should get here tomorrow, and I really hope I get to teach WITH him/her not just in addition too. IT was about a 40 minute walk this morning, and I was going the wrong way, tried to ask a woman help with the assistance of my phrase book, to no great luck. I then chanced into a group of students, and just followed them.
So, I just had lunch, and have a few hours until my next class, I only have three today. It's much better having something to do, or try to do, and I enjoy that.Emmett should come by this weekend, which will be nice to have someone to talk to! I've been playing solitaire and listening to This American Life when I need the company. I like being at school, just because kids are kids all over the world.
Did I mention that 9/10 times I have no idea what I'm eating? I would trade my soul for a bowl of Lucky Charms, I tell you what. Breakfast is what I miss most. And toilet paper.
